hey there, nice to meet you. i am cami (the founder of quinta) and i wanted to share a personal reflection with you.
every time I open social media, I see a sea of the same face — smoothed, filled, snatched, filtered. the pressure to conform to one beauty standard, usually one shaped by eurocentric ideals, can be overwhelming. and I get it. we're all human, and we all want to feel beautiful.
but somewhere along the way, i realized that chasing a certain version of “perfection” was pulling me further away from myself. from my roots. from my family. from the face i grew up learning to love.
i’m chilean. i have an angular nose that isn’t small or delicate — but i love it, because i see my mom every time i look in the mirror. i have slightly hooded, droopy eyes and thick eyebrows that remind me of my dad and my grandmother. my arms are strong like my mom’s. i carry my history on my face and body — and that’s something i never want to erase.
skincare shouldn’t be about changing *you*
i started quinta because i wanted to create skincare that supports your skin — not pressures you to change your face. there are already enough voices telling us we need to tweak, reduce, and filter ourselves into someone else. quinta is about the opposite: nourishing what you naturally have. helping you love it more deeply.
